ANTARTICA MA 12 Q100
The Mont Azul Antartica MA 12 roofing slates, are smooth textured grey black slates which impart a less reflective more of a matt look to the roof than its counterpart the Antartica MA 11. Mined in Spain and exclusively supplied through Jewson the Antartica slates are made from parts of the rock seam with the highest degree of penetrative cleavage. This means that the cleaved slates are regular, even, flat and not only easy to fix but lie well on the roof thus providing maximum security against any wind-blown water or snow penetration.
In addition to having excellent geometrical properties, these slates have a highly durable genetic and mineralogical composition, giving the end user a beautiful and durable natural slate to enhance any roof.
The slates are CE marked and meet all the requirements, of the mandatory durability standard BSEN12326 thus complying with the EU construction products regulation 305-2011 and any local Authority building regulations.

SUPERIOR MA 12
The Mont Azul Superior MA 12 slate is a strong durable lightly textured flat blue-grey slate with a natural riven surface. The slate should provide the roof with a soft matt textured finish as opposed to a glossy or reflective look. The Superior MA 12 is cleaved from selectively mined clean fissile parts of the slate rock seam to produce a product with robust geometric as well as mineralogical properties. It is easy to work with and looks great on a roof, imparting a slightly subtle yet individual natural look to a roof.
Exclusively supplied through Jewson the slate is CE marked and meets the mandatory durability standard BSEN12326 and complies with both the EU construction products regulation 305-2011 and local authority building regulations.

LOMBEIRO MA 12
The Lombeiro MA 12 is a category of competitively priced slates which are fast mined and cleaved from the more fissile parts of the rock seam that is conducive to fast low cost production. The slate is relatively flat, smooth and fine textured.
Easy to work with the slate is suited for most general purpose roofing including refurbishment and repairs.
As with all the Mont Azul Slates the Lombeiro MA 12 is CE marked and meets the requirements of the mandatory durability standard BSEN12326 thus complying with the EU construction products regulation 305-2011 and all local authority building regulations.
The standard EC wooden crates in which the slates are packed carry the required labelling.

GALICIA MA 12
The Mont Azul – Galicia MA 12 is produced from slate mined by both open cast as well as underground mining techniques in the upper parts of the steeply dipping slate ore-body that run for miles in the mountains of Northern Spain. The Galicia MA 12 slate is a durable high strength blue grey natural slate with a slightly textured surface. This slate is very competitively priced and is an ideal and obvious choice for sensitive projects with tight budgets.
The slates are cleaved a fraction thicker which not only adds to their robustness but enhances the natural raw look of the slate.
As with all the Mont Azul slates, exclusively supplied through Jewson, the Galicia MA 12 is CE marked and meets the requirements, of the mandatory durability standard BSEN 12326 and complies with the EU construction products regulation 305-2011.
